Things to do in Kansas City in September: Festivals


September usually means beautiful weather in the great plains, and there's lots of outdoor events in KC in the Fall! Here's just a small sampling of what's available in September alone; this page has many more.

Prairie Village Jazz Festival Sept. 7, Harmon Park. The PV Jazz Festival brings thousands of people together to enjoy a free evening of magical music, fabulous artistry, delectable food & drink, and fun. 

Zona Rosa Arts Festival Sept. 13-15, Zona Rosa. Enjoy live music, dance and theatrical performances while you browse a collection of watercolor and oil paintings, photography, sculpture, handcrafted jewelry and more.

Overland Park Fall Festival Sept. 28, Downtown Overland Park. The festival features: Johnson County's best Arts and Crafts Fair, three stages of free concerts, free kid-friendly activities, food booths, and a free motorcycle and classic car show. 

Double Ogg Dare Festival Sept. 28, Shawnee Mission Park. A walk in the park, two trail runs, six mountain bike challenges, orienteering, live bluegrass music, and more.
